To mark World Entrepreneurship Day, on April 16 we launched “A nuestro Aire”, Valiryo’s new video podcast.
Hosted by Ion Esandi, CEO and founder of Valiryo, this new space is designed to explore entrepreneurship, well-being, and the ideas, habits, and projects that help people live better. In other words, it is about well-living: not just getting through everyday life, but learning how to enjoy it more and make the most of it.
A very special first episode
To open the series, we wanted to start with a conversation that felt close, honest, and very much our own.
In the first episode, Ion interviews Patxi Fabo, his 50% business partner at Valiryo and entrepreneurial companion for more than a decade. Together, they look back on their journey, the early days of Valiryo, the lessons they have learned, the mistakes they made, the challenges they faced, and their vision of body drying as a new category within well-being and the bathroom experience.
More than a formal interview, it is an honest conversation about what it really means to build a business and learn through imperfect decisions.
As Ion Esandi explains:
“At Valiryo, we have always gone a little against the current: turning something as everyday as drying into a moment of well-being. With this podcast, we want to share people and ideas that help us live better, at our own pace and with intention: a nuestro aire.”

And as Patxi Fabo puts it:
“Entrepreneurship means learning through imperfect decisions. In this episode, we share what we would do again and what we would not repeat, in the hope that it may be useful to others.”
A podcast with a broader purpose
Although the first episode focuses on entrepreneurship and the origins of Valiryo, “A nuestro Aire” was created with a broader purpose in mind.
Future episodes will also cover topics linked to well-being, such as body care, routines, foot health, yoga, and rest habits, as well as conversations with people behind projects that bring real value to society.
The common thread will always be the same: close conversations, practical ideas, and a human perspective.
The story of Valiryo, from the inside
In this first episode, Ion and Patxi revisit some of the key moments in Valiryo’s story:
- how the company began and how it has evolved,
- how an unlikely idea became a real product,
- the challenges of funding, market development, and expansion,
- and their vision for the future of Valiryo and body drying as a well-being experience.
Alongside his role at Valiryo, Patxi Fabo is also involved in other business projects, including Job Accommodation, a consultancy focused on transformation and improvement through Lean Manufacturing, and Optimus Crane, an engineering company specialised in optimising crane operations and related processes in large-scale projects.
Valiryo: well-being, accessibility, and design in the bathroom
Valiryo is a company from Navarra, Spain, born from engineering and innovation, and creator of a body dryer for the shower designed for safe use in wet environments and intended to turn drying into a more comfortable, accessible, and relaxing experience.
Today, Valiryo sells its product in more than 40 countries through partnerships with local distributors and maintains a strong international focus.
