If we are going to install Valiryo inside the shower, which we recommend whenever possible to get the best possible experience with the product, the biggest difficulty we face is the electrical connection. This is mainly due to the fact that, until the introduction of Valiryo, it was not necessary to have a light point inside the wet area of the bathroom.
However, connecting Valiryo is a very simple task that does not require any major renovations to your home. It’s simply a matter of passing a wire through the false ceiling or wall from the nearest power point.
If you're installing Valiryo inside the shower, which we recommend whenever possible for the best experience with the product, it’s important to note that this process is totally safe. Valiryo has an IP56 certification, ensuring it is water-resistant and can withstand direct contact with water, making it safe to use in the shower, even with water splashes. There’s no risk involved in installing it in the shower, and the connection to the mains is direct and easy.
The connection process: how to connect body dryer to the mains
As we have seen in previous posts, the installation of Valiryo is very easy, similar to hanging a mirror with some kind of light in the bathroom: it is fixed to the wall and connected to the mains. However, it is important to have the connection point prepared before the installation to ensure that everything is ready for the connection later. We offer two column heights, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your available space. We always recommend double-checking the available height in your bathroom to ensure the best fit for your installation.

In this video, you’ll find a step-by-step guide to the complete Valiryo connection process. We recommend sharing this video with your installer, along with the detailed document for professionals, which you can access below.
Voltage requirements and using Valiryo worldwide
It is important to remember that Valiryo Body Dryer should always be connected to 220-240V. A voltage that is too low will not supply enough power for the proper functionality of Valiryo. However, this does not exclude the possibility of using Valiryo in any country.
If you live in a country with 110-120V mains, such as the United States or Canada, it is still possible to use Valiryo, but it is important to follow the specific instructions provided to safely convert the voltage.
Valiryo's products are fully certified and safe to use, and we also hold UL and CSA certifications for both markets, which can be provided upon request if needed.
You will need to connect the body dryer to a 240V outlet. This is common in most homes, but it’s essential to connect the dryer to the correct electrical grid, which usually consists of three wires: a black wire (+120V), a red wire (-120V), and a white wire (neutral). The connection should be made between the two hot wires (black and red).

Our engineering team has worked to ensure Valiryo’s compatibility worldwide. This way, Valiryo will always arrive customized for installation according to your country’s voltage. In countries with 110-120V voltage, Valiryo will arrive with the appropriate instructions. In countries with 220-240V voltage, it will include the correct plug for your region.
Electrical installation and professional assistance
Although the installation itself is simple, we always recommend having the electrical installation carried out by a professional. This ensures that it complies with the requirements established by the regulations of your country. Additionally, it’s important to isolate the Valiryo installation using a 16 A circuit breaker and make sure the electrical circuit includes a residual current device (RCD) not exceeding 30 mA to ensure maximum safety.
Other locations
Valiryo can also be installed outside the shower area. So, if you don’t have enough space or if you want to use the body dryer in combination with a bathtub, there’s no need to worry! If you have a 220V installation in your home (common in Europe and many other countries around the world), you can simply connect it to the wall just like any other household appliance.
